Bedrock #29

Bedrock is a block that looks similar to coal and carbon when using the default texture pack. It is found at the very bottom of the world at 3071 depth and there is no way to buy it or pick it up. Bedrock can be common under lava ponds in the third supercavern, but not always.

Bedrock cannot be mined/destroyed and imperturbable to all explosives.

Trivia[]

  • At the bottom of the world, there will be a tower made out of bedrock and Teleport blocks. Within it is the Grenade Launcher Blueprint. The tower is, unofficially, called the Nexus.
  • The prospect text for bedrock congratulates the player for making it at the bottom of the world.
  • Prospecting bedrock allows you to get a Sledge Hammer in Dig Deep by killing spiders from the prospect's text.  However, spiders rarely ever drop a Sledge Hammer.
