The DemiGod & DemiGoddess Avatars when they were 1st introduced, were only unlockable if a developer placed down a zeus NPC somewhere within your map. The avatars were locked, but re-unlocked in the final 2.5 update
Unlock Requirement
To unlock The DemiGod & DemiGoddess avatars (current) one must unlock every other avatar (excluding robotic, hermes wraith, testerman, and zeus) in the game, as well as:
- 50,000 blocks mined
- 100,000 blocks placed
- 100 rates given
- 500 rates received
- 50 rates Given
- 100 worlds visited
- 50 worlds visited for 10 minutes or more

The default text for the DemiGods Avatar Skin when it is placed by a NPC Spawn:
DemiGod: "As imagination bodies forth the forms of things unknown, the poet's pen turns them to shapes."
DemiGoddess: "There was a world... Or was it all a dream?"

Trivia
- In the 2.1 Update the unlock method will be changed, to make it unlocked in game without the need of someone to place zeus due to the changes to NPC block.
- BaldyGargoyle has a thread on the Total Miner Forums where you can request hm to visit your world. If it's good enough, he might place down a Zeus NPC Spawner.
- Contrary to popular belief, neither the DemiGod or DemiGoddess have special permissions, such as flying in Dig Deep, unlike Robotic and Zeus.
- The DemiGod's qoute: "As imagination bodies forth the forms of things unknown, the poet's pen turns them to shapes." comes from William Shakespeare's comedy play 'A Midsummer Night's Dream '. The quote can be found in act 5, scene 1.
- TheDemiGoddess' quote: "There was a world... Or was it all a dream?" is from Robert Fagles' The Iliad . The quote can be found in Book III .
- (Old) When a developer places the Zeus NPC down, only the host of the map will receive the DemiGod & DemiGoddess Avatars. If the admin(s) of the map want to receive the unlockable they will have to create their own world and get a developer to place the Zeus NPC.
