Unlockables, or Avatar Skins, essentially serve as the in-game achievement system for Total Miner, as they are unlocked by completing various tasks, which range in difficulty. You can obtain an unlockable by doing certain things within the game. For example, the TreeHugger requires you to cut down a tree.

While most avatars are achievable for players in-game, there are a few that aren't. The first is the Robotic Avatar, which is commonly awarded to players who win a Robotic Contest. Another is Hermes Wraith Avatar, which is the second most exclusive avatar skin, as it requires players to make unique contributions to the game that are deemed significant enough to be worthy for earning. The TesterMan Avatar is another, which is exclusive to Total Miner's testers.

The Zeus Avatar is exclusive to the developers of Total Miner.
